Phew (“Phew”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Phew accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares when you use the Phew Android app.
Phew is designed to help you pause before opening apps you choose. Our goal is to provide this functionality while keeping your information collection limited.
Phew uses Android’s Accessibility Service with your permission to detect when an app comes to the foreground.
We use this access only to provide Phew’s core functionality: showing a pause screen before an app that you have chosen to place under Phew’s watch is opened.

Phew uses Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and diagnose crashes, errors, and application stability problems.

Phew’s app selections, preferences, and local pause information are stored on your device.
You can remove this locally stored information by clearing Phew’s app data or uninstalling Phew, subject to information that may already have been processed by third-party services such as Firebase.
Information processed by Firebase services is retained according to the applicable Firebase/Google service retention settings and policies.
We do not maintain a separate Phew server database containing your app selections or Phew settings.
Phew does not sell or rent your personal information.
We use Google Firebase services described in this Privacy Policy for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. Information collected by those services may be processed by Google as a service provider.
We do not share Accessibility Service data or your selected app list with advertising companies.
We take reasonable measures to limit the information Phew collects and to protect information processed by the app and the services we use.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You control Phew’s Accessibility Service permission through Android system settings.
